Route from Cherbourg port to Le Cormoran

For the first time, we are taking the caravan abroad next month, travelling on the ferry from Poole to Cherbourg and, then staying at Le Cormoran for 8 nights.

Having looked at Google Earth, it appears that the more "direct" routes from the port to the site involve some rather narrow / twisty roads, which may not be suitable for towing?

Question is, can anyone recommend a "safe" route?

Thanks,

Lee.

    Hi Lee

I always use 'via Michelin' site to check my routes, making sure I tick the box 'caravan' under options. This will only give you routes where it's safe to tow with your caravan. e.g.via N13

    Enjoy your trip smile

Hi there - it's the one near Ravenoville Plage in Normandy.

    Regards,
    Lee.

Don't worry Lee, it's an easy road to that site - from the N13 at Sainte Mere Eglise just take the D15 to the coast.

The route is explained if you Google the campsite's own website and is also on here on this website  - click Overseas Holidays at the top of this page to get the site details. Less than an hour's drive from the port. Have a good holiday.

    Lee

It's a nice site and if you are interested in WW2 there are lots of things to see. Both the Omaha Beach Museum and the Airborne Museum at St Mere Eglise are fairly short excursions from the site.
