i wonder if anyone has a bit of knowledge around a 'Quest' three way cool box. We bought this from a well known auction site last year, we used it on our sojourn in Sept, with electricity and all was fine.

I now want to run this off gas when I need however, all gas bits are missing (apart from the brass screw inside). I have attached some photos. I am guessing it is all quite simple (Duh) but can anyone suggest which fittings I need. I have been on the Quest Website but they were no use at all.

is this cool box gas salvageable? As ever, advice greatly appreciated

    Unfortunately no photos attached.

This sounds like a standard 3-way top-loading fridge sold under numerous brand names.  I have one, and it works on 240v/12v/gas.

I have no idea what you mean when you say "all gas bits are missing". Was this purchased new, or was it something sold 'for spares or repair' on the well known auction site?

If you can clarify what you need to know I may be able to help.

    Hello,

thank you for your response. Yes, it is the standard 3 way fridge but the gas pipe and fitting are missing.

i have tried again to attach a photo but I Can't.

there is a brass 'male' fitting ready to receive a pipe but I am not sure what to buy.

I suspect all you need is a length of pipe and a regulator.   To light turn gas control to max press down and press the spark button a few times.

The fitting you need is almost certainly a 1/4" LH thread female -to- Fullham nozzle adapter.  One of these should have come with the fridge.  The same screw fitting is also used by Camping Gaz in some European countries, and you could use one of these, cutting off one end, ....but it would be an expensive solution!

You then just need a standard 28/30mb regulator to suit your gas bottle.

If I can find a source for the part you need I'll get back.

I assume that brass male fitting, is a Fulham nozzle. Therefore I think what is need is a length of 8 mm gas pipes then either a regulator into a bottle or a quick fitting if conecting onto a caravan BBQ point as I do with my fridge.

PS our fridge bought new came with nozzle as described but no pipe or other fittings.
