It certainly ain't easy these days. It'd be pointless not to keep us posted sometimes. We'd miss you and it would be pointless not to post 😉

It's so slow this morning good job I've got a cuppa. Almost wonder if it's pointless trying to post 😲

Decided that I needed to wash my car yesterday as it was rather embarrassingly dirty.

Took said car in for some warranty work this morning and yep, you guessed, the dealers washed and valeted it! Mind you they seem to have done a better job than I did!

Our little run around is due a service, wondering whether to keep it and run it into the ground or upgrade. Nearly bought a Mini recently,  daughter got one instead. smile

We've been contemplating various scenarios, Brue. One is to buy a decent but smallish Motorhome for winter touring and keep our present car and c'van set up. Another is to upgrade both c'van and car and buy a small run around, or just buy a small run around.

We'll probably be gripped by apathy and keep plugging on as is!

Similar ideas here, would consider a small group of possibilities! Would like the family to use what we've got but wrong van for them just now.

Not really, a breath of fresh air this thread, unlike the stale stuff elsewhere!

    Thank you TDA. smile

Talking of fresh air we attempted to get some down on the Dorset coast at Lyme Regis tonight....but it felt even warmer there! Beautiful evening and a flat calm sea. Quite a few boats in and the gig teams going out. Lots of people out and about and the sea was tempting some in for a swim. Hope you enjoy the photos.

Well, we're up to 32C just now...how is it for you?

I hear they're charging £15 for the privilege of seeing the sun at Stonehenge tomorrow morning. I presume it's the same sun we can all see for free....wink

Just been out to the caravan to turn off the air-con, or as we like to call it, "Closing the windows".

Hope everyone using their sun factor!

Early morning swim for me, up to three times a week now. Sadly only in our local leisure centre, wish I was down on the beach at Porth Kidney! We used to get down there early, when no one around bar boats fishing, in for a dip, then back up to dunes and have a nice breakfast. Been a few years since we have done that, although River Dart and a lunchtime swim was really good a couple of years ago! Took some getting in there though, a lot colder than sea!surprised

Would love to jump in a swimming pool just now! The sea is still a bit chilly but OK if the tide is coming in over warm sand or pebbles.. oh dear that's a really nice thought! wink

Have enjoyed doing some shopping today, OH now has some new sandals. He's out clearing a local river bank, but no sandals, in fact to avoid the snake bite on a previous visit he was well covered for this expedition.

Had a relaxing day after yesterdays trauma (jockey wheel collapsed when taking van off drive, half an hour getting that sorted and then drove 20 miles before realising I'd left coat and money at home). Pottered around Sutton Park, outside York, went for a lovely meal. Staying on an independent site recommended by Nellie. Got good taste that man!

Had a very pleasant day at Beningbrough NT. Went for a walk to Newton on the Ouse then back along the river, seeing the nesting Sand Martins and a female Merganser with 3 youngsters in tow. Then we bought some Yorkshire Blue cheese for lunch from the farm shop and had a good viewing of the house. All in all a pleasant way to pass 5 hours. Only downsde was that we found out we'd left our NT cards at home. Asked MIL to forward to our next CL stop.

The pair of us have a memory made like a sieve. At least this trip Mrs. WN is leading 3-2. smile
