Are the site information leaflets still available to view and print on line as they used to be on the old site or has this facility been removed ? I appreciate the leaflet is available on site however I always found it worthwhile to check out the information before arrival on site.

No they're not Wedgy and I miss them too. I mentioned it in the snagging list not long ago although there's been no response to when they might be restored or not.

They're very useful for checking what reception sells, dog walks and all the various details for specific sites.

Quite a bit more than that, things like laundry facilities, wash block info, public transport. Whether reception sells newspapers, milk etc. Things that apply in more detail to an individual site.

All the information is available as before. Go onto site and view prices and details. You will find site plan and info about site

No unfortunately. At the moment you can read basic site details written for each site but for the usual printable site plan, accessibility and details which are on the right hand side of the page only the plan and accessibility details are available.

I doubt the website gives info about nearest doctors, vets and supermarkets etc but most other stuff is on the site details.  You might think they would be happy for us to print the leaflet and save paper?

I seem to remember being told by wardens last year that HQ were actively encouring members to print the leaflet to save on waste. 😇 Rather ironic given the inability to do so now.

    Hi All,

We have been advised the leaflets aren’t currently on the new website, but Marketing are putting together the 2017 information and it will be added to the web pages shortly.

Watch this space as they say.

    Kind Regards

    Tracy

Is 'shortly' longer or shorter in duration than 'soon' I wonder? When is the facebook link on CT going to be corrected BTW. Is that also shortly, soon, or 'don't hold your breath'?

    Hi

Do you mean the link from our website to the Club page on Facebook?

If you mean the link from the facebook icon at the bottom of every prime page under "Keep in touch", it works everytime for me.

I checked that too Peedee and it worked for me. That's why I asked if it was that he meant in case I was missing something.

There was a Facebook advert on the side of this page but the link didn't work.

"We have been advised the leaflets aren't currently available on the new website"

Does anyone else find this to be a strange statement from a CAMC staff member?

Exactly Brue. I have never searched the bottom of the page when there is a prominent one on the RHS. Obviously a well tested and tried website!!

    Hi Ian,

Just reading that part of the sentence does sound strange but hopefully it makes sense when you continue to read after the comma......., but Marketing are putting together the 2017 information and it will be added to the web pages shortly.

    Kind Regards

    Hi Brue,

I had not come across that but it appears to have been taken off now. The Facebook icon at the bottom of the pages has a working link to our Facebook page.

    Kind Regards

    Tracy

Will we have to wait until "marketing" have updated every single site leaflet or will they be released to us the users as and when individual ones are completed?

Meanwhile, why can we not have last years ones?  They are better than nothing at all, and considering the speed at which site improvements are undertaken then it will be most unlikely any of the layout plans will have changed.

If they are not on the website, what are they handing out on the sites then? Copies of last year's with the offending logo cut off I guess.

I suppose someone has to take the time to put on 200 leaflets, only to replace them in a month or so. I can see that this would not be regarded  as a good use of available resources.

Nav the layout plans are already available online, it is just the leaflet we are missing

Thanks Steve. Just checked Bunree as an example and I can see the plan now.

Also noticed that they have need of improving their arithmetic as there are 104 pitches comprised of 99 caravan touring, 0 camping and 0 pods.  Where have the other 5 gone?

The last update on this was March and as yet the site leaflets still have not reappeared. Has the marketing department got stuck for ideas? Have they been struck down with a mysterious illness? Or are they all still in the pub?

Any news on the site leaflets?

The sites we stopped on in England, before crossing to the other side, did not seem to have any. So presumably the old ones have run out and the new ones not yet been printed. Or perhaps a cost saving initiative. They will wait until they see how many complaints they get, before deciding wether to do away with them.😬

i wonder, in the case of all the missing info from the new CT, did CC attempt a migration of each existing section only to find that there were technical difficulties that could not be overcome, or was there a 'culling' meeting prior to migration from which many pieces of data were just excluded?

either way, its taken ages (eons) to get any corrections through, let alone going back to 'rescue' missing info....

    IMHO, dont hold your breath....undecided

I had not checked this before as all sites we have booked this year we have visited before. The site plans are there though but not the information leaflet which is useful if you have not been there before.

Well it will soon be mid summer and then it will be 2018.....wink

I find the on line/leaflet info useful, especially about what is available at reception like milk or papers, plus bus stops nearby etc. At the moment anyone using a site for the first time will not be aware of the site facilities. A bit like booking a hotel and assuming they have what you need to enjoy your holiday.
