Campsites near Dunkirk

Anyone know any campsites near Dunkirk ferry terminal? We've just booked a return ferry going out on 20.8.17 returning 10.9. We are heading to Germany to the wine festival near Cochem, so any campsite recommendations would be helpful.

Thanks Sue

This is a popular campsite not too far from Dunkirk, http://www.davidklyne.co.uk/ChateauduGandspette.htm

If you are returning along the E40 there is an ACSI site at Jabbeke adjacent to that motorway, 45 minutes and 37 miles from Dunkirk.

Plus the local bus runs to Bruges and is just a few minutes walk from site.

How close to Dunkirk do you want? There are two possibilities on the ACSI list at Adinkerke - about 12 miles from the ferry - but perhaps you mean a bit further?

Thanks for all the above replies.  We arrrive in Dunkirk 7pm local time so a site up to an hour away or nearer would be fine. We plan to stay just one night only at the start of our trip, and one night on our way back.

I too think Kleinstrand is good for getting off to Germany the next day.
