I don't know whether to laugh or to cry.
I have been a Member for a year or two and an occasional poster on these forums.
I have posted since the 'new' forum format was completed.
Yesterday I tried to reply to a post but the 'Compose a reply' box was nowhere to be seen.
To cut a long story short I eventually managed a Live Chat with the Club last night.
The person on the other end of the chat was as helpful as possible but could offer no solution to my problem and indicated I would receive a phone call from the Club.
The promised phone call from the Club didn't materialise today.
So, dander up, I joined the Club Forums using a slightly different user name and email address.
All the details I gave were correct except I said I wasn't a Member.
After getting back on the forums I immediately went to the thread I'd been trying to post on yesterday and, lo and behold, there was a 'Compose a reply' box.
I sent my message to the OP and it is on the forum where I'd tried to send it previously.
So do I keep on posting as a non-member or a member who tries but can't post?
PS – the 'Compose a reply' box is still not available if I use the forums as a Member.
Infamy, Infamy, they've all got it in for me!

I've just logged in using my Members name and, lo and behold, I can see a 'Compose a reply' box.
After a few days without it, no expected phone call from the Club and no explanation as to why it was missing I suppose I should rejoice at being permitted to post on the Forums once more but ….... perhaps not too much rejoicing.

I found if the box is missing I click on "quote" and the site takes me to the log-in page, which when completed takes me back to that thread, allbe it to the start of the thread and all is as well as it ever will be here.

MandK, you need to contact the CM to sort out your duplicate registration which is actually in breach of the T&Cs, although completely understandable.
It sounds to me as if your login didn't succeed so the box never appeared.

It's like a game of 'What can go wrong next' - probably hosted by a Politician.
You'd think that lorry driver would get fed up, wouldn't you?
