Need a Site in Germany

Hi Everyone

We are travelling from Rotterdam to Austria in the summer and would really appreciate any recommendations for one overnight stay in Germany on the way down - around Heidelberg / Hockenheim area and preferably near to the main route.   Most sites we have looked at so far are a min 3 night stay and combined with the 7 nights required at two sites we are visiting we just don't have time for more than 1 night.   We've not had good previous experiences with sites in Germany so any recommendations are greatly appreciated

Are you in a caravan or MH as that would make a difference, if MH there are probably Stellplatz you can use.

This is a good site near to Heidelberg, it's just a few miles south at Neckargemund right on the banks of the River Neckar. I am not aware of any restricted stay rules.

Depending on where in austria you are heading a one stop drive sounds a touch ambitious, especially in high summer and if travelling Fridays and weekends! We have only once had a bad experience on a German site (at Fussen) which was so over officious such even my German wife told them to *** off. The minimum booking can be a bit of a problem at peak season though in many places in Europe, not just Germany.
