Sorry WN, for the time taken for me to reply
.As I said I use " Patient.emis.access " for my repeat prescriptions. When I log on I can see all bookable items I have on the list, as well as any appointments booked / outstanding. They react pretty well instantly and I get a return e-mail within a few minutes telling me they had had action on my account and to do nothing if it was really me . After a few days I will get a phone-call telling me that the goodies are ready & can be collected from my designated branch. { Well Pharmacy about 250 yards from my back gate !! }. Not yet have I had a single hiccup { hiccough ??} but there is a request in at present so ........... oh bother

We survived our bike ride😁 very warm here today, so a nice day to be out. Some annoying diversions and closures on our chosen route, so we ended up doing a bit more than we intended. Enjoyable though😁

After last night's rain today's been fine and sunny at times. Had a couple of walks from Sizergh, one up onto the fell and Brigsteer Wood and the other after lunch to Helsingham church and then around the castle gardens. Didn't bother going in the house as we have visited a few times in the past. Last night of this current trip, home in the morning for a few appointments before we head off again.
Good to read that the ride went well, tda, without any unfortunate incidents.

Well we've had a week of rain on and off, the ground is looking much better as are the plants. Rivers still seem to be low though.
More orders still coming in for the Folding Sink modification OH is doing, so far over 100 sets have been printed and despatched. Happy MH owners delighted at how easy it was to make the change and they can now remove their bathroom sinks to clean beneath them.
We are going to escape for a few days over the coming weekend, not a holiday up here so hoping it's not going to be too busy.
Off out tonight for a meal with eldest son, DIL and gKids. The gKids go back to boarding school tomorrow. Won't be too much longer before their parents move back to Scotland probably end of year. It's been a bit of a trial for them coming up and down the road from Wiltshire. Thankfully the kids love the school and have coped well with being away from home. Every time we see them they are becoming more independent and grown up. It will be good for our son to be able to attend rugby matches to see his son play, he was a keen rugby player and played for the school when he was there.
Need to get the maps and books out to start planning our autumn/winter trip to France, Spain and Portugal. Loose ideas but need to check out sites as going to areas we've not been before.

Down to the coast this morning, to sort some angling club details out. We decided to visit the cafe at a favourite garden centre but it was packed with families having holiday breakfasts. Unfortunately that meant Mr Brue didn't get his bacon bap due to a muddle in the kitchen. All the orders go in via WiFi but not today! We did think how times have changed when families can now afford to go out for breakfast, lunch and tea. Anyway the bacon bap emerged OK from the kitchen at home...
Busy week ahead, elder daughter, partner and dog arriving for a short break. A practice run with the dog for us as she'll be staying here next year when they visit Jamaica.
How is your new van Nellie? Are you both pleased with it.
All change for your family TG!

Do so hope that nobody will need urgent access down the A354 over the next week !!
And its all because The Great Dorset Steam Fair will be occupying oodles of space down there 'tween Blandford and points ( more ore less ) North East Whoo Hoo !!
And should anybody think of asking the obvious ~~ alas no 'cos ABM has surrendered his space on the camp-site
~~ 600+ acres is tooooo much for the old bones BUT there will be STEAM FAIR FM already polluting the airwaves should you care to hunt round for the occasional steam powered woo--hoo!0 -
See this at Seaburn beach late this afternoon. Shovel, spare fuel and what looks like a flotation device on the side? I wonder if it drove up or came across the North Sea and just landed on the sand?

Yes brue, we are happy with, however there are a few things that need sorting, so it is back to the dealers tomorrow to get them done, hopefully. I do wonder what a full PDI involves, as at least one of the things not working properly should have been picked up during it.
We managed to get packed up and home this morning without meeting any rain. Van unloaded and washing out on the line before the weather changed, so a quick cash to get it back in the house. Thankfully the rain was short lived but it looked very stormy over the Lakes.

I’m envious, David.

Overland vehicle, prep’d for anything, go anywhere gig👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻
PS-AKA dubbed out vehicles.2 -
The flotation devices might be sand ladders, we have some in green😁 Our Landy always looked like that, ready for anything. We did take shovel up to Northumberland last year…….in the snow🤣 Still have our fuel containers, and shell cartridge containers were always handy for secure storage. Spent many a happy hour at our ex MOD depot. 😁 I wanted a Pink Panther LR, but OH though it might not be welcome on Club Sites🤣🤣

We have at last Landed at FM it took two trips owing to a flat tyre on trailer(off the rim) and spare wheel was wrong fittings Mayday called out but his main pump not working? So left trailer at home Sunday came to site with some kit
Back home yesterday got another spare from trailer company and they pumped up flat tyre
Eventually got sorted at about 6pm last night
I shall definitely need this break 👍

Nice meal out last night with the family, gKids back to school today.
Off out again shortly for lunch in Stirling, meeting up with our pals from the West Coast, the ones we went to France earlier this year. Time for a good chinwag.
Weather awful its like autumn, raining chilly and grey skies😞 give me back the sun.
Brue, yes big changes for our eldest. Its coming up 32 years since we went through the same thing, moving back from Germany to the house we had just bought, which needed lots doing to it. I think we were better organised though 😁 and I know we were both keen to get it done, our DIL is not of the same mind set.
Right time to get ready.

Geez😱, really? get a grip girl-it stands out a mile you’re from ‘South’ Yorkshire😂😂. Pink Landy😢😢
PS-I did know what you where talking about, I’ve seen em at meets👍🏻⤵️

Wow that is a serious Landy and OH said yep it was called a Panther and it came supplied to the military in that same colour I would prefer light blue or maroon and no problem with on site towing a caravan etc.
Just been shopping in Villefrance and in LeClerc parked near to a Bentley cabriolet French reg very posh very big wheels with very low profile tyres on did look odd next to our Landcruiser which has much bigger tyres on.
Gone very warm here again today after a few lovely cooler days could 33C today and tomorrow 37C but hopefully over in a couple of days and storms on the way, getting quieter everywhere now as a lot of folk gone back home did see a few UK reg cars about.

Weather not so bad here on Lewis with Harris, TG. Sat outside the Woodlands Cafe near Sornaway Castle, for a hot drink and cake. Just wearing a tee-shirt - no jumper/ coat. It is variable, and there is sometimes a little chill in the air.

Look what it’s got going for it though…..long-wheel base for sleeping, good conversion options for cooking, sand ladders, spare wheel out of way on bonnet, lots of places to hook an eco shower, storage for fuel Jerry cans, tie ups for multiple dogs, soft top, and personally (just because I am from South Yorks,) a gun turret🤣
We toured for years with our Series 2a LR. Slept in tent, but we cooked in back of Landy, which had a canvas tilt hood. We slept in there occasionally as well on long journeys, but it was SWB, so not comfy. Nearly bought a LR Ambulance once, wanted too much doing to it though.
The Pink Panthers were used in first Gulf War I believe.
Blanchard’s Rocky, now based at Shiptonthorpe. They used to be at Bubworth, close to Doncaster. They are retiring next year, so everything is up for sale.

Margaret went to see the new Diabetic Nurse at the surgery this afternoon. She found her very friendly and not as scary as the previous incumbent! She suggested that she sign up for a free trial of one of those devices that stick on the arm and sends blood sugar readings to her phone. Normally when the two weeks are up you have to start paying but apparently the nurse can extend that by a couple of weeks. It's a bit of an experiment to see how she copes with it. The interesting thing is that apparently all insulin dependent diabetics will have these devices issued on the NHS by the end of the year. Currently only type 1 diabetics get them issued. Given the number of needles and test strips Margaret uses, which are very expensive, it could save money in the long run. I imagine the NHS get them a lot cheaper than what you pay online.

Day of contrasts today up early this morning and it was pouring then this afternoon the sun came out and it’s now very warm. Volvo had its MOT today thankfully passed first time no issues so hopefully that’s it for another year and no big bills. Only 3 weeks now until our trip to Yorkshire looking forward to it o

Which area are you staying in Francis, or are you moving around a bit? It’s Heritage Week 9th to 18th September, so there might be some more unusual places open to the public, and some you normally have to pay for might be free. We are hoping to see one or two unusual places up North if we can.
Link here for anyone interested. https://www.heritageopendays.org.uk/

We're looking forward to our trip starting next week as well Francis. Seems an age for us since we were in the 'van.
Did the heavy shopping for MiL today so that she doesn't have to cart bulky items around and get the bus etc. We were talking to one of the staff that we regularly have a chat with if we see her and she told us that Tesco were taking away 5 of the 12 manned checkout tills, getting rid of the basket till and expanding the self service tills in a couple of weeks time. There are queues every time we go in nowadays as there is never enough staff on the tills and we've now changed to the zap as you go system. Goodness knows what the chaos will be like at Christmas time.

TDA - We will be in the Richmond area for a week looking forward to it. We are the same as you WN it’s been a fortnight since we had our last trip out in the van been busy with family events over the past couple of weeks so been unable to get away although we may squeeze in a couple of nights away near the end of next week

I love the Tesco zappers to be honest, you can pack your bags going round, then it’s usually quite quick to pay. Tesco seem to be reducing their staffing hugely at the moment, all areas of the stores. The zap shop isn’t friendly for all though, technical for some, and woe betide if you inadvertently forget to zap an item then get a random check😱
Where you heading WN?
