Challenge 97 - Make your own musical instruments, start a band. Name your band
Amy and Ella both play instruments and love singing; Amy plays the guitar and Ella plays the drums. So they were both excited about making their own instruments. Amy, inspired by her guitar, initially attempted to make a stringed (loom banded) box but the lack of melody from twanging elastic meant a change of plan.
In the end, we made three percussion instruments: a shaker made out of a recycled bottle filled with stones; a snare drum made from a recycled raspberry tub covered in tin foil and loom bracelets and a guiro whittled from sticks collected outside and decorated in….yes you guessed it loom bands.
The recurring theme led to the band name choice.
