In June this year, my darling wife of 39 years lost her five year battle with cancer. Initially I was going to sell our motorhome as going anywhere without my deloved wife just did not feel right. My daughted and son-in-law did their best to convince my not to give up so i agreed and a few weeks ago I had my first trip out to the most wonderful site I have visited - Burford - next to Cotswold Wildlife Park. the welcome and facilities of the site were second to none but during my time onsite, spending many hours just people watching, I noticed a considerable number of drivers who seem to have little or no regard to speed limites. The limites are there for the protection of everyone. One driver even managed to get into third gear as they passed me so one can only guess at his speed. A few drivers even drov e their cars and parked outside the toilet block, used the convienieces then went back to their caravans. I even watched numerous drivers go the wrong way down a one way system just so they could get to their caravans quicker. what was more alarming was these offenders one would assune to be the younger drivers BUT NO. Almost exclusively the drivers appeared to be 50+ and who should know better. I would add I am almost 60 so not having a go at the younge. PLEASE - PLEASE - PLEASE abide to the rules before a member or worst still, a child gets hurt or killed and the rules of the road apply within the camp as much as outside the camp. Know normal driver would even consider driving the wrong way down a one way street so why do it on a caravan site?
