And the winner is.....Results for the CL of the Year Awards
Every year The Caravan Club hosts the CL of the Year Awards,
celebrating the fantastic Certificated Locations (CL) sites we have
across the length and breadth of Britain. From sites on orchards
and farms, to sites by lakes and rivers, there are many stunning
settings for people to enjoy.
The Caravan Club has a large network of around two and half
thousand CL sites in many different locations. CLs are small
privately owned sites, with a maximum five pitches available for
vans. All CL sites have standard basic facilities, such as fresh
water supplies and a chemical emptying point. However CLs do vary
greatly with the facilities they have onsite and you can find a CL
to suit your own specific needs and requirements. Some CLs have
washroom facilities, Wi-Fi and electrical hook ups, ideal for those
who like modern conveniences, whilst others only have the basic
facilities, perfect for anyone who likes to be self-sufficient and
go back to basics.
Caravan Club Chairman, Grenville Chamberlain, commented:
"The Caravan Club's unique 2,500-strong CL network is hugely
popular with Club members. Each and every CL is a gem in the
jewelled crown of the overall sites network. CL owners are to be
congratulated on their commitment to providing our members with a
warm welcome and an exceptional place to enjoy their
caravanning."
This year's CL of the year Award was hosted by MP David Amess at
Westminster Palace. The awards were presented by Dan Jarvis MBE MP,
who is Labour's Shadow Minister for Culture, Media and Sport, and
also a supporter of caravanning holidays.
