Help - motorhome v caravan ?

We are a family of five and had a caravan since 2001 ! The kids
are still young all under age of 11 years and  we travel in UK
and Europe for our major holidays. We have fancied a motorhome for
a while but been seasoned vanners we just can't decide - anyone had
similar who can give their experience ???
