Inconsistent check-in rules

Site A

Site book states do not arrive before 1pm. On arrival at 1245, I apologised and admitted I had not seen the 1pm time in the book and had assumed noon as this has been the norm with other sites over the years. The warden said on this occasion, as it was quiet, she would let it go but she would not always be so inclined. Fair enough.

Site B

This time I noticed the 1pm rule so killed time in near-by retail park. On arrival I mentioned this to the warden. He said it would have been ok to arrive any time after 9am as it saved congestion at the 1 pm slot and if a pitch was empty he did not see sense in making people wait.

Same club very different wardens.
