Pitched Roof

It’s that time of year again when most of us are giving our caravans a good spring clean. If yours is anything like mine, it has been in storage most of the winter, with rainwater sitting on the roof in puddles collecting all the dirt, and then overflowing
down the sides in periods of rain leaving the ubiquitous black streaks down the sides.
While I was washing mine a few weeks ago I had a thought. Why aren’t caravans manufactured with a slightly pitched roof. Nothing stupid, just enough to let the rain flow off the roof and not settle to gather all the dirt. The only problem I can see are the
roof lights, but it wouldn’t take much to sort that out, and I can’t see it being any more expensive or am I missing something obvious.
