Preventative reseal ? A good idea?

Hi, Our Sterling van is now 7 years old. A couple of years ago it got water ingress from the  lower front awning rail and was fixed at a major dealers on warranty.

We are now wondering if it would be a good idea to have the remaining awning rails  and front roof seal re done as a preventative measure  as the van is now out of warranty.

It had no damp at its last service earlier this year . Some have advised to leave the seals well alone if  no damp, others say  a van should be resealed after 10 years, others say every 5 years..I'm confused. I am tending to think that prevention is better than cure . The van has had LOTS(!) of all year round use over its 7 years and has travelled many thousands of miles all round Europe!  What do people think?
