PLANNING OUR 1ST OVERSEAS TRIP

I've started looking into an overseas trip with our Caravan, i've never driven in France before and never taken a Caravan onto a ferry! I live in South Wales so there is quite a drive before we even get to a ferry port.

I've been looking at crossings from Portsmouth to Saint-Malo which seem rather expensive!?

Any advice for a first trip overseas with a Caravan would be appreciated, we want to travel south enough to get decent weather but not too far due to '1st time driving abroad' An easy to get to site with a pool and close to a beach would be great!
