We are going touring around Europe for at least six months, however most vehicle insurance companies only cover up to 30 days single trip and 60 days in total, is there company that does longer?

also breakdown service for this period we have got quote for £572 with red pennant, seems very high, anyone use or can recommend Another company?

thanks

Look at the Club's car insurance (up to 270 days) and ADAC (See Dianne's 'Joys of European  Caravanning' for more info) for breakdown cover.  These should give the cover you need.  Don't forget to make sure your house policy is ok for the length of your trip.

If you are of an age, Saga do 365 day cover across Europe, and if I recall correctly their breakdown cover does also.  We used them for a 12 month trip in 2012.  House insurance was not an issue for us because we let ur hose and took landlords insurance.

Yes We insure both car and caravan through the CC 6 months included and second to none service at very reasonable price.

As comyras says go to my website
    here
and go to ADAC page the European Breakdown is under £100 for a year inc. the U.K. So only breakdown insurance you need to get for 12 Months. You just need Health insurance to get.

.......just another thought....  Make sure you check your household insurance too.  There may be conditions with regard to complying if your house is vacant for such a long period of time.

DSB, yes I also thought of that but OP is going to rent out his house so no problem assuming he tells his Insurance Company!

That's a bummer.  Must be a new rule, because they covered us for the full year we were away in 2012.  We were away for the full year 2008/9 as well and insured with a New Zealand company which was part of the AXA group I think, maybe by the name of Euro
car Insurance.  Sorry, not a lot of help, the documentation and e-mails are long Deleted User and I am struggling to find it on Google.

Write your comments here...well, I certainly hope they do! I insured with them only 2 weeks ago, advised them about towball as modification. No problems they assured me, even gave me a quote for breakdown (about £129 PA) including European cover! So I don't
know who you spoke to but I would ring again!
