Difference between NHS and private treatment

Hubby has an absess in his tooth  - went to the dentist who gave him a course of antibiotics 3 times a day for five days and told to come back on 17 December (would have been after Christmas apparently, but hubby told her he wanted it fixing before then
- hence 17 December).

Took the cat to the vets as he had an absess on the side of his head - given an injection of antibiotics to get it into the blood system quickly, then given antibiotic tablets to be taken 2 x 3 times a day for 10 ten days and told to come back as soon as
they had been used

Object of this story, will take OH to vets next time
