Good sites for bird watching in October

We are hoping to spend a week at the end of October and want to do some bird watching. I'm thinking of Norfolk, but open to other suggestions. Can anyone recommend sites to stay on? We prefer quiet rural sites. We don't necessarily need EHUs.
