Camping cards

We booked to go overseas and were sent an Europe Camping Key, but it does not seem to be of much use except to insure us against somehting or other.  No brochure explaining the benefits and the website is not very helpful either.

We looked up caravan sites on the scheme and those sites seem to be more expensive than sites not on the scheme!  Plus many of the sites on the scheme charged for every conceivable extra.

Are there any camping cards that are really beneficial to one and do offer true discounts etc?  Thanks.
