Travelling to southern Ireland
We need to be in Clonmel for Saturday 6th September and are considering a crossing to Rosslare. We have Mayday cover for the car and caravan.
We are also travelling with 4 dogs, but I am guessing that pet passports are not required for Ireland? Would it be advisable to get Red Pennant cover also or would this be an unnecessary expense?
Ferry arrives in Rosslare at 6pm so would require a site close by so suggestions welcome. On our return it will have to be about 9am so concern here is getting there on time to catch teh ferry. Are you able to park up overnight at the terminal?
We are not too sure yet whether we will be there for 7 or 10 days and would like to visit Tipperary so thinking of a sort of round trip bringing is back to Rosslare. However I am told that the "main" roads can be rather narrow and like our A roads.
At the moment it is only a consideration and any input would be welcome. Thanks.
