Basic site with no bells & whistles!

It will be our first time across the water in May 2013 with the caravan and we will be looking for a basic site not too far from the beach around the Vendee area (La Rochelle). We are not really interested in swimming pool etc as prefer a good clean quiet
reasonably priced site. We are travelling with 4 Yorkshire terriers.
We have the Caravan Europe book for France, but as we are not familar with the area the book is not much help unless you know the site.
Pity it is not on DVD and searchable with options similar to the search facility for CLs.
Can any one advise on any such sites or am I being too hopeful?
