Camping de la Cite Carcassonne

Off to la belle France next week and was planning on spending a couple of nights at Camping de la Cite, as it is so convenient for the walled town.  However, I've just noticed that the minimum booking is 4 nights.  Just wondered what facilities there are
for parking a 6.6m motor home if we just pay a day visit from somewhere like Val d'Aleth?

At this time of year just turn up at the campsite and tell them how long you would like to stay. Bon voyage.

I'ver seen motorhomes parked in front of the main entrance, they do have an Aire and think that might be it.

There is a brand new Aire at the front of the site. We visited the campsite in May and the Aire was due to open in July.

It is a long steep climb on foot up to the old town although there is a carpark at the top by the entrance.

    This is the Aire:-

I didn't look but assume the Aire doesn't have a 'number of nights' restriction?

The campsite wasn't particularly good but was a reasonable substitute for a decent AireWinking

I'm not sure the last link works so go to the Campsite page and select 'Camping car area' at the top!

La Cite is a pretty large site so I don't imagine that you would have any trouble finding space in September. We were there towards the end of September last year which was our second visit the site although the previous time was in 1992!!! Got a blog here of last years trip and a site review here with pictures, nice site.
