Numpty question p'raps but I've a motorhome and never used a caravan, but my son has just bought his first 'van which has a fitted mover. He will need to manouevre it from the road and along my flat tarmac drive about 20 yds to park it behind my m/home. It would be a step too far at the mo for him to try to reverse it along the drive between my house wall and garden fence with the car.

My naive question is whether (in view of the unsteerable jockey wheel) it will be easier and/or more controllable to move the 'van in a forward or in a 'reverse' direction with the electric mover. I realise that whatever happens the 'van will have to be moved in both forwards and backwards directions anyway but would like to have it going in the most controllable direction when putting it into the drive since there will be less than a foot gap each side of the 'van between my house wall and fence.

We'd prefer to run it up the drive forwards, i.e. jockey wheel first, as then the access door will useable as t'other way around (i.e. reversing in)  the 'van door would inaccessible as it would be tight against the garden fence.

Happy daze.
