ZIG low voltage warning lamp lights at 12.2 volts
Hi
My Owners Instructions leaflet for my ZIG unit says that the low voltage warning LED will light when the battery voltage drops to 11 volts. (Separate leisure battery).
However, when I put on two filament reading lights (nothing else switched on) the green LED goes out and the red LED lights up.
Suspecting a dying battery I checked the no load battery voltage which was a healthy 12.6 (green LED) and again with the reading lights on, when it read 12.22 volts (Green LED goes off and red LED comes on and stay on). It's pretty pointless having a low
battery LED if it lights at such a normal/healthy voltage.
Incidentally, I'm sure it's the ZIG unit and not the battery as if I put the battery selector switch on the ZIG panel to the vehicle battery position exactly the same thing happens.
Is there any way I can recalibrate the ZIG low voltage warning threshhold to the correct 11 volt level rather than the current 12.22 and avoid getting twitchy about the low battery warning lighting and staying on every time something is switched on?
