Lights on outside of van when unhitched from a car
I have come across a problem when unhitching during the winter: I live on a main road and I have to stop outside, unhitch, then using the movers manoeuvre the caravan onto the drive. The first part of the manoeuvre puts the caravan halfway across
the road, effectively blocking it for a few minutes. When I stop I always have my hazards going, but as soon as I unhitch all lights on the outside of the caravan go out with no way to turn them on. This makes it extremely hazardous.
I wondered if anyone else has come across this problem and has found an easy way to turn the lights on when not connected to the car.
The obvious is to turn the inside lights on and open all curtains/blinds, good, but I would like to be able to turn on the running lights.
I would be grateful for any help in this regard.
