Camping Card International no longer offered by CC

I've just gone to get my Camping Card International ready for my France holiday in 2 weeks and notice that CC now does Camping Key Europe cards and not the CCI card.

As I can't get a CCI card in the UK through their website and only through approved clubsite (and I'm only a member of the CC), is the Camping Key Europe card going to do the same thing for me abroad?  I only
use it as ID when I get to a site and occasionally for some discounts if they're on route as we never pre-book sites.  It is a much easier way to leave ID for us, rather than a passport or driving licence.

I'm not really sure why the CC dropped the sale of them as they've always been recoginised when I've gone abroad as perfect ID.

Any advice would be useful.
