I'm struggling to persuade SWMBO to give Eire a try. Thinking about May, to visit all the usual tourist scenic areas in the South West.  We are a retired couple and will be towing a caravan.  

I would be interested in any personal recommendations for sites which are readily accessible and would give us a good centre for touring around in the car.

Plus any more tips to make it that bit more worthwhile?
