Overnight Stop near Tours

We are embarking on our first overseas visit this summer and are looking for any recommendations for an overnight stop near Tours.  We have read a lot about French Municipal sites but when we try to look at their websites they tend to be in French or half
English and half French making it difficult to check what they are like.

We are also looking for a stop on our way back to Calais around the Abbeville area.
