Hythe or Calais

I f heading for Eastern Europe, Dolimites etc, we travel up from Cornwall and stay at Hythe overnight before taking the Eurotunnel. Hythe is a great site, but I always feel we could gain the 'hour' by continuing to France and staying in Calais. Anybody know
of some good overnight sites in Calais who allow latecomers.
