Are all towing mirrors fairly useless in rain?

i can't see anything in them when it's raining. My car mirrors seem to clear themselves better as we're driving but my towing ones are just 98% covered in water droplets. Any recommendations for any which work better Please? I currently use stick on suction
ones and im happy with them as long as it's not raining.
