Towing with a new car.

I have just taken delivery of a new Hyundai ix35.  In the handbook it advises not to tow until you have completed at least 1200miles.  This seems a bit steep.  I previously owned a vauxhall Antara and the handbook said nothing about this issue.  Naturally,
I don't want to invalidate the guarantee, but wish to tow as soon as possible.  Has anyoine got any advice on this subject.  Thanks.
