Club officials and their part in CT.
Should Club officials play a more active part in CT- YES or NO!
Personally I find it disappointing that there is very little input from Club officials to threads of obvious importance. Ok I don’t expect a commitment to make changes just because a few complain or put forward ideas but it would be nice to see an acknowledgement
of some sort even if it is just a holding note. In some cases I feel sure an explanation could be given as to why a point is so and why it cannot or will not be changed.
It is all very well saying officials are keeping a close eye on what is being said but to me that is not good enough. For all I know it is just a black hole! Perhaps there is no desire to air dirty linen in public or debate issues with members, if this
is the case then CT for me has nothing to offer over the many excellent forum sites already out there. As it is the software is not up to scratch for a forum and if it is to be one round of mundane chat, then there are better sites available for that.
Having just read the Club’s Netiquette, I hadn’t realised there were Internal Champions. Is this the same as Staff? It would be very useful to know who they are with their profile reflecting their area of expertise. At least a post from them could then be
judged as having the stamp of the Club’s approval?
If the object was for the Club’s management not to engage with members, which appears to be the case, then CT has a lot to do to catch up with forums already out there and it could turn out to be a dead duck and rather pointless.
