It has been reported on another forum that there are fake police targeting foreign vans on the A9 in the south of France between Montpellier and Narbonne .

Here is the translated warning from the French Police facebook page.

"Message of attention

Individuals wearing clothes of false police officers or custodians of the public authority have attacked in the night on wednesday 11 to thursday, 12, and in the night from friday 13 Saturday, 14 march, camping car aliens in the areas of the a9 highway between
Montpellier and narbonne.The aggressors are taking advantage of the difficulty to communicate with foreigners."
