Genoa & Lake Constance - any recommendations?

We're heading off around France / Italy / Germany in July for 5 weeks in our new motorhome and looking for ideas of where to stay in both the Genoa and Lake Constance areas. The plan is to have around 7 nights in / around Genoa then drive up to Lake Constance
for 3 nights

We'll have two kids (13 & 9) plus the dog and the only real requirements are that it is relatively peaceful - we're not big on loud late night entertainment - and has access to beach and pool

I've found a number of places via the magic of google but it's nice to get personal experiences
