Grand Canyon, France

Only a few days now before we start our French adventure. Troyes first stop and heading south towards Monaco. We have been advised that the Grand Canyon is spectacular. Has anyone been and are there any sites near to the Canyon. We are only taking the Camper
van so nice small sites suit us nicely. Your advice as always would be most welcome.
