Breakdown cover advice please.

Hi all. We have just booked Eurotunnel to France. ( good price through the club ) Looking into breakdown cover. Quite expensive. Got me thinking what other members do and what options there are. We are heading to eastern France and Lucerne, Switzerland for
about 3 weeks. Any advice would be very much appreciated.
