If your weather is anything like ours has been this past couple of days and you need something to pass the time, here's a little quiz to get the grey cells active:

Translate these clues into place names of British towns and cities. Don't post answers on here so that everyone can have a go at them. I'll post the answers tonight!

Example … What Dick Turpin tells you to do with your money = Andover

  1. Still not started your supper?
  2. Changed you locks? You’ll need one of these!
  3. They’re all a bit creepy round here!
  4. Take the skin off that orange
  5. It goes over what goes under!
  6. Mandelson’s football pitch
  7. A place of Joy (and Babs and Teddie!)
  8. Stop and summon the dog here

9.  Neil and Christine’s place

10. How an Hawaiian would greet a Scotsman

11. Their chips are just silly!

12.What Harry might have done to his older brother!

13. Just the place for Grandad to buy his woollies

14. Got a big bottom? You’ll need these when you go to bed!

15. Stands before field and draw(er)s

16. Do they look after their cod stocks here?

17. It’s the 1st of March every day here

18. Islanders standing around chewing the cud

19. Go here to get more ‘ealthy

20. They do swear and cuss a lot here (my ‘ansum!)

I'll put the answers on a separate thread later on tonight. You might have to imagine some of them spoken in a broad West Country burr! Happy

Wow I've got a few on first glance, then looked at the date of posting, don't expect we'll get the answers tonight!

    Wonder how it's been resurrected?

Brue is it sunny as well as warm? It's not cold here but grey and humid.

I spent a few mins stirring the early posts with a DGB paddle --  there's probably one or three more to amuse you !
