How many off grid CLs are there?

Hi all. I have been following the threads about off grid caravanning pretty closely as it would seem I'm a not the only one who has travelled the road to freedom from the ubiquitous orange cable. The appearance of the solar panel has certainly put the "off grid on grid" discussions on a new footing wouldn't you agree? Well, I have had a few quiet moments to myself just lately and I decided to find out exactly how things stood with the club CLs. The data, is fairly accurate but I would never claim totally!

Out of all the CLs in the book, there are 535 that are without EHU. They cater for every taste, ie, coastal, town, countryside etc. From what I have discovered, prices range from £2.50(1814)  to £15 a night. Some offer, as you would expect, more than others but sometimes you are left wondering why the price.

Hook up sites obviously make up the vast majority of CLs. Here again, very interesting. Generally, prices range between £10 and £14. Some though are as low as £7 or £8 while others rise to £19 and I think I saw one more expensive than that and I'm sure we will get feedback if I'm right. I would use EHU sites that charge £7 -£8 a night so the 535 rises a little - not a lot, but a little!. In conclusion, it's an absolute wonderful mix out there. When you take into account the space provided for instance. Personally, I wouldn't like be interested in a CL that was charging £2.50 but only has .25 of an acre! I like my space. CLs - as individual as we are!

I still think there is a very good argument for the club to produce the map showing the non ehu CLs in a different colour!
