Truma Regulator problems

Come away for the weekend and find we have no gas supply, bottle is full yet nothing coming through, not even the slightest smell.

looks like this type of Regulator experiences regular faults - are they are recommendations on what I can do to check it, or is it just a replacement I am facing?

i see you can buy replacements but is it ok to fit oneself?
