Air conditioning unit advice

We are thinking of getting a portable air conditioning unit for when we go to France in our motorhome in June and wondered if anyone can recommend a good system? We were at a motorhome show today and saw a unit called Transcool but when we've looked online
the reviews are very mixed.

There are fans (cheap, simple?) , evaporative coolers (relatively cheap, slightly more effective?) and A/C which needs compressor and two part (complex, expensive?)

2500W COOLING PLUS 3kw  HEATING AT 25kg, again, around £1000 (replaced by later model).

can any members tell me if any one as the portable transcool air conditioner, and is it any good, i have tried to find out if this product works well as thy say it does as any one got this product can advice's me on this issue, mike

If you can't have a swim in the sea to cool down, go to the nearest supermarche to enjoy the airconditioning. A top tip is to loiter next to the fresh veg display and wait for the water mist to come on!
