Engine remapping

Hi,

I have a 2year old Honda CR-V that I find is under powered to tow my Bailey Pegasus.  Instead of replacing it, one option is to have the engine remapped. On internet sites that carry out this work they promise more power, more torque and better fuel consumption!!
This seems hard to believe, so if there is anyone out there that has any experience of engine remapping I would very much appreciate any feedback on your experience.
