Bike Racks in Germany

Hi. This summer we will be towing our caravan to Bavaria, we will aso be carrying our bikes in the caravan. However once we are piched up we plan to carry our bikes on a bike rack on the back of our car to places if interest too far to cycle, and then use
our bikes once we are there. I have number plate & light board that is legal in the UK, is this acceptable in Germany or do I require something else.
