I hate it when people group us all together in their assumptions. Vanessa Cannon writes in this month's magazine that "we all use these items". We don't use a microwave, we don't have one in our van, they are heavy and expensive options which take up much
needed space. Besides, isn't part of the fun of camping learning how to improvise and use what you have on board? When you buy a car you have many "optional extras" to choose from. Why don't caravan manufcaturers do the same? Then everyone can decide for themselves
whether they want mats or carpets, microwaves etc. or keep the price - and the weight of their caravan down,
