When I was a kid where did I go?

Ok folks, I remember caravaning at a very young age with my parents but simply don't know where we went. I remember staying on a site I guess around bude area that we simply walked from the site over the fence / dunes with our inflatable dinghy ( very small)
and we were on the beach. Now I know times have changed but does anyone have any recommendations for a modern type site similar to this? Obviously nice cc site? Hope some of you can help me.......... Thanks :-)
