can anyone recommend a site around this area. We are staying at Trebes but as the family are visiting for a week thought we might move closer to the coast. We would want a pool. Also where is the best part of the coast? Originally we were on our way to Sommieres
Domaine de Massereau but the ACSI rate finishes beginning of June. Our preferred choice would have been Chateau de Boisson. Does anyone know this area? I think it would be suitable if there are villages to visit close by that you can stroll around restaurants/bars.

The three sites you mention are quite far apart. Where exactly are you meeting your friends, and where do you want to be please?

PS.  And if it's the right sort of location then Camping Beau Rivage at Meze might suit.

Sorry for unclear post. Our family are flying into Nimes therefore the site I mentioned at Sommieres. With having to change plans re: campsite ,we thought they may prefer the coast for the time they are with us. I am not sure about the coastal sites at Narbonne/Beziers.
If there is villages to visit around the Chateau de Bossion site at Allerge -Les-Fumades I think they would be fine.

    That's fine, I understand.

We had family fly in to Montpellier and all met up at Domaine de Massereau - we quite liked it there  - the staff were lovely, the pitch we had was spacious, the site maintenance was top class, but the pool was too cold for my grandchildren, the whole campsite was wildly overpriced, the restaurant looked impressive but needed a better chef, and it really was too far to walk into Sommieres and back again regularly.

I don't know Allegre les Fumades or the campsite there,  but it is a very tiny village and the reviews say there is very little going on there.

For a Nimes airport arrival my own choice would be to take the family to St Remy de Provence. There's a choice of three or four campsites there in a very vibrant little town - unless of course they want the sea.

    Is that any help?
