Noseweight check, just for curiosity.
Collected our new van on Monday, Compass Omega 482, service manager said he would put my gas cylinder and battery in before showing me around. He said there was no water in the Alde (just the glycol), so I checked the noseweight, in the gas locker was the hook up cable, van empty; 70kg noseweight. With a 6kg calor lite and 110amp battery in, cable and Cadac Safari chef (just bought) at rear, 80kg. Loaded up back at storage, pans, kettles, cutlery, plates, some coats, bedding, etc. and other bits always left in the van 75kg. Nicely balanced, so when we go off for a weekend or 2 weeks just to balance it out with what we put in, porch awning or full awning fabric, so will be able to get 70-75kg with ease, car max 75kg. Mtplm is higher than the previous van, payload is less so a visit to the weighbridge next.
