Good cycling maps for Holland.

Booked the ferry with camping cheques last October, we have now decided to have a week in Holland cycling and just booked the site, De Veerhoeve, Wolphaartsdijk, Zeeland (South Holland). Already planned some good long cycle rides, hopefully will find some
nice bars for refreshment stops!

Standfords maps have a good selection of cycling maps for the whole of Holland at a good scale of 1:50 000, like our OS maps.

Here is the link:

Map legend is in Dutch only - see below for translation of main terms - but is very clearly laid out in colour-coded sections (cycling infrastructure, culture, nature, activities, accommodation, orientation, help, road infrastructure, and land use), so much
of it is self explanatory or easy to understand.

Fietspad - cycle path

Knooppunt - junction

Onverharde weg - unsurfaced road

Verboden voor fietsers (gemotoriseerd verkeer) - closed to cyclists (motorized traffic)

Hek of afsluiting voor alle verkeer - gate or barrier for all traffic

Rijwielhulpkist - cycle repair “first aid”

They also show locations of charging points for those using electric cycles.
