Aquasource mains adapter help

My caravan is a 2007 swift challenger 560
I have recently purchased a whale Aquasource mains adapter, When using this i find there is an unplesant taste to the water. Is there a special filter for this adapter? if so where does it go.
When I use my submersible pump and whale filter WF3000 the water is ok.
I do get my caravan serviced regularly and I do clean the water system with water purifier.
I have seen a float / subermisble pump set up but I would like to see if I can get the mains adapter working better.
Anyone any ideas?
