So upset about loss of awning at Seacroft
I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas for sorting this out, or experience of how likely we would be to get a reprieve once on site? My husband and I and 4 children (age 11,9,9,3) are bringing our Bailey Discovery 300 5 berth to Norfolk in the summer holidays.
We have a week at Seacroft, a week at Incleborough and a week at a council site in Lincs where we'll meet my sister, all running on together. During the 2nd week of our holiday, on the 3-4 August for the weekend, we will have to move to a non-awning pitch
at Seacroft because since we booked, the CC have reduced the number of awning pitches by 14 out of the 80 odd there are and we got a letter to say we could not have one anymore. The CC say to just keep checking for those dates to come up, but its solidly booked.
How likely is it that those dates will free up do you think? And are there many cases where the situation would change while we were there? Though the warden (especially at Incleborough) was fantastic, CC central say they can't help us at all by looking for
us more regularly than we can or by having an electronic waiting list for a pitch with awning there. Or even holding us a space at Inclborough so we could move there early and cut short our looked forward to treat of site with swimming pool at Seacroft, which
is why we went to Norfolk in the first place. We've been told if we move to Incleborough for the weekend we won't be allowed to use the pool at Seacroft which seems quite logical. I just can't imagine how we'll cope with sleeping and eating in what has become
a very small caravan now the children are older, or where we'd put everything we'll have for a 3 week holiday for just 2 nights when there won't be an awning?
